Advanced Techniques.
Combinations, clashes, life stages, structures — the relational mechanics that make a Bazi chart move, not just describe.
New articles published several times each week.
Once you can read a chart, the next question is how the pieces talk to each other.
Advanced Bazi is the layer where individual stems and branches stop being static labels — and start interacting. Two earth branches that combine. A clash between Day and Hour. A follower chart that breaks the normal rules of strong vs. weak.
This is also where you learn to see the chart as a system: which pillars are in harmony, where the imbalance lives, what life stage each stem is in, and which structural pattern (ge ju) the chart belongs to.
Sixty-two articles, six layers of mechanics. Take them in any order — but the first cluster is the prerequisite for everything else.
How the pieces interact.
Combinations and clashes first — every advanced topic builds on them. Then imbalance, life stages, structures, palaces, and the rare echoes of Fu Yin and Fan Yin.
Combinations, Clashes & Punishments
How pillars combine, clash, harm, and punish each other. The mechanics underneath every reading where two stems or branches meet.
Element Imbalance
Too much fire. Not enough water. Read what is missing or excessive, and how to bring the elements back toward balance.
12 Life Stages
Each Heavenly Stem moves through twelve life stages against the branches — from Chang Sheng (birth) to Yang (nourishment). The vitality cycle of every element.
Bazi Structures / Patterns
Ge Ju (格局) — the structural pattern of a chart. Strong, weak, follower, direct officer, wealth, resource. The lens that organizes everything else.
Palaces
Each pillar is also a palace — for ancestors, parents, spouse, children. Plus the hidden fifth pillar: the Life Palace itself.
Fu Yin & Fan Yin
When a luck pillar exactly duplicates (Fu Yin) or perfectly clashes (Fan Yin) the natal chart. The rarest and most charged configurations.
The chart describes who you are. The interactions describe what happens to you.

Can you read the mechanics?
These three questions separate intermediate readers from advanced ones.
Not there yet? Start with cluster 01. Everything else builds on combinations and clashes.
Mechanics down.
Once the chart starts moving, the next layer is the constellation of stars that sit on top of it — luck, romance, mentorship, hardship.
